  • General Description:

    BIO-L SE is a live vaccine which contains live attenuated, Acriflavine-resistant Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae of lentogenic strain (Koganei strain). This vaccine has a physical appearance as light yellow, lyophilized cake.

Composition per Dose:

Erysipelothrix rhusiopathiae Koganei strain

Indication for Use:

Prevention of Swine Erysipelas in swine.

Method of Vaccination:

Reconstitute the vaccine with diluent and mix thoroughly. Administer 1 dose (2 ml) of reconstituted vaccine to each pig via intramuscular or subcutaneous injection.

Storage Conditions:

Store in a dark place at 2 to 8 ºC. Do not freeze.

Packaging:

20Doses/Vial (with 40mL diluent), 25Doses/Vial (with 50mL diluent), and 50Doses/Vial (with 100mL diluent)

Shelf Life:

2 years

Precautions:

·Follow the instructions from and use under supervision by a veterinarian, and this vaccine is for veterinary use only.

·Reconstitute the vaccine with diluent. Protect reconstituted vaccine from sunlight and use all the vaccine within 2 hours after reconstitution.

·Do not administer antibiotics to swine 3 days prior to receiving vaccination and for 7 days after vaccination.

·Vaccination equipment needs to be sterilized by autoclaving. Do not sterilize vaccination equipment with alcohol instead. Vaccination site should be sterilized by rubbing with 70% alcohol swab.

·Do not save unused vaccine for later administration. Unused vaccine and used vaccine vials needs to be sterilized before disposal.  

·Vaccinate healthy swine only.Do not vaccinate pigs showing fever, sows that have been mated in 2 weeks, sows that are in late stage of pregnancy or sows that have labored recently.
